Pumpkin Festival

(A rustic setting, with the occasional utility pole. From an Elm tree, four red leaves fall to the ground. A booth made from metal poles and tarp, sits amongst other booths as part of an annual downtown festival. Three more red leaves fall from the tree. HAROLD, 33, with wristwatch, sits in the booth among pumpkin pies. A sign reads "Pumpkin Pies!". A steady crowds of passersby pass by. TOM, short for his age, stops and reads the sign.)

TOM: How much for a pie?

HAROLD: Seven dollars.

TOM: Hmm. They look pretty good.

HAROLD: Oh yeah, they're good.

TOM: Maybe I'll come back later and buy one.

(Three more leaves fall.)
