Service Industry, Part 2

It's raining. Scene is the coffee shop which is an exact replica of the one in the television show "Friends", but the lights are dimmed and the chairs are all stacked on the tables, as if it's long past closing time. What used to be a plate-glass window is covered in cardboard and through the glass door we can see police tape; this window was obviously recently broken, perhaps driven through. A tired-looking man is counting cash from the register, stage left, while an Eastern European immigrant mops the floor, stage right.

JON: Ever seen a dead person?
PAVEL: Yes.
JON: Yeah, me too.
